About Ranger

Ranger is a 5-year-old Australian cattle dog who was born deaf. He's a very loyal dog who loves his people more than anything else in the world. He loves playing fetch with sticksand enjoys being anywhere near his humans. Ranger does pretty well with other dogs, and relies on his companion, our other dog which is a border collie mix breed rescue. He's very anxious when left alone and wants to be by his owners' side at all times. His temperament is anxious, while also laid back when he's comfortable with his surroundings. We're unfortunately making the very difficult decision to re-home Ranger because we have two toddlers, and he recently had some aggressive interactions with guests (but hasn't shown any aggressive to our kids.) Both instances were unfamiliar faces coming to our house, and it was likely out of fear and wanting to protect us, but it's also unpredictable, as these incidents had months in between them and many visitors in between. At other times, he's totally fine with guests. Ranger is a very loving dog and we are so sad to re-home him, but we know he could be loved by someone in a different situation/season than we're in.
