About Wick

Wick is a gem, all heart and loyalty. We have all fallen in love with this boy, and are rooting for him to find a great family! His adoption fee is half off right now. Wick is so easy to fall in love with! He has become a staff favorite, great with meeting new people, walks well on a leash, and just has a gentle nature. His eyes and heart are amazing and he is going to be someone's good buddy and what a lucky human that will be! We think Wick might have been a working dog before he came to us. He circles the perimeter of the play yard, uninterested in toys (but loves to get pets and scratches), and likes to stay right by your leg if you are walking with him. This guy is a special guy, checks in with you and is in tune with you, and just has all this HEART. And we got to see his zoomies, and they are AWESOME. Wick is around 5 years young. This big guy (roughly between 60-65 lbs) would love a little room to stretch his legs and smell the grass. He has NOT been happy about meeting other dogs so far, so we are going to say he needs to be your one and only animal in the home. It's a tough thing to say, we can only judge it based on what we see in kennel behavior which doesn't always tell the full story. But, we think it is what he needs right now. After he gets out of the shelter environment and is relaxed and comfortable, he potentially could feel differently. We thought Wick was a Pyrenees/Lab mix when he first came in, but now we are thinking he is an Akbash. Whatever his DNA is, we know this baby boy is a an awesome guy to have near. Wick was found in an area where dogs are sometimes dumped... we cannot change what brought him here to us, but this boy deserves wayyyyyyy better than this. Come meet him. He's beautiful, inside and out. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, and up to date vaccines. We are located at 2825 Sherman Ave in Monte Vista.
