About Greyson

We have had the honor of being Greyson's parents since he was 12 weeks old. A pure bred Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler with the softest most beautiful soul. He has been a constant source of joy and support. Greyson's gentle nature and resilient spirit has been essential in helping me through multiple personal health crises. I have been suffering from a seizure disorder that has become complicated to manage and recently our brave boy faced his own health battle- a sudden and unexpected diagnosis of diabetes after a life marked by nothing but health and vitality, I'll never understand it. 3 excruciating days and $7,000 later, we saved his life but I have been sick with grief- not because this is a death sentence, because i know it's not, but because I know that I cannot possibly afford to take care of my health as well as his. To imagine Greyson living with someone else breaks my heart. Selfishly I've tried to convince myself i can do this- but Greyson deserves better and both our healths will suffer. I have to give him his best shot at a happy and healthy life even if that means it isn't with me. Our handsome boy has been professionally board and trained both on and off leash, has phenomenal recall, and is the best snuggler I know. He loves the water- lake, beach, hose, sprinkler- you name it! Thankfully he has learned self control and won't partake without your stamp of approval! That's how he is with everything- he finds joy in the simple pleasures of life- be it a morning spent herding his egg, a dance under a sprinkler, or a quiet approval of your daily routines. He will give you his all and then some. His expressive eyes and intuitive nature make him an excellent communicator. He's so in tune with emotions that you'll find yourself having full conversations with him, and he seems to understand every word. He's a very quick learner, will pick up socks that fall out off your laundry pile and follow you with it to the wash. And if you're folding your clothes on the bed- he'll carefully step around them and find a sweet little spot to fit in. If you're doing the dishes, he'll lay between your feet. Outside he'll point out every bird to make sure you didn't miss it. He'll want to lick your toes when you hop out of the shower and give you kisses before bed. He loves to sleep in and loves his kennel- it's his special little space that he sometimes shares with his big brother (cat named Loki). He is curious around other animals but doesn't frighten them and is gentle with puppies and babies- he finds them fascinating:) He loves wheels so he will want to keep an eye on the wheels of your trash bin as you take it out to the street or nip at the tires of your wagon as is his nature. I will love him endlessly and wish only that he go to a loving home. As we face the heart-wrenching decision to find him a new home-a decision driven not by lack but by an overwhelming desire to give him the life he deserves-we are committed to ensuring that Greyson's next chapter is filled with as much love and care as we have given him.
