About Dallas

Dallas has a requirement for a secure fenced-in yard. She is not confident yet with walking on a leash. She's just got some anxiety and fear if it's not a very quiet day in the neighborhood and can become a little frantic and flighty on leash. She loves the yard, though, and she is working really hard on her leash walking skills in the backyard and if we're feeling bold, the front yard, and even past a few houses. If you've got patience and enjoy taking things slow with a dog to build their confidence in situations, Dallas would be perfect for you and your fenced-in yard! She is also an expert critter-getter. So if you find the little wildlife critters to be troublesome in your gardens, Dallas will happily, joyfully, quickly show them they are not welcomed. So far in her foster home, she has captured 2 voles, 2 robins, and a rabbit. She has had no issues giving any of her catches up, even trading for a tennis ball or getting lots of pets and happy talks. Dallas loves to run through the yard, nose to the ground, following the trails of the critters that visited the yard since she was last out. Or she sits and watches the squirrels and birds in the trees very closely, likely plotting her next catch.
