About Cowboy

Cowboy is a Blue Lacy , which is a result of greyhound and Redbone Coonhound mix (what adopt me recommend we post Blue lacy around. He is the TEXAS STATE DOG!!! He is the last of our rescue looking for a good home Hi there, I'm Cowboy, the happiest little male puppy you'll ever meet! I may be small, but my love for life is as big as the open Texas sky. Water and food? Oh, you betcha, those are some of my favorite things in the world. Playing with other dogs is an absolute blast, and my best buddy is a cool Chihuahua named Norm who keeps me company. Cats? No problem at all; I've got two feline friends in my foster home. Now, I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me a chance, and I'll show you just how much love and joy I have to offer. Walking on a leash might not be my strong suit, but I promise, my boundless energy more than makes up for it. Outdoor adventures are my jam, rain or shine. Although, when it's raining, I might need a moment to gather my confidence before heading out. Toys and treats? Oh boy, you've got my attention! I'm used to sleeping in my crate, especially if there's a tasty treat involved, but I'm flexible and can snooze wherever you'd like me to. I haven't been around children, so that's a new adventure waiting to happen. I dream of finding a forever home with someone who works from home and can shower me with love and playtime during breaks. Just a little heads-up, I might be tempted to nibble on things I shouldn't, so some training will be great to help me understand the rules. Oh, and I love chewing, so please keep those tempting objects out of reach and give me lots of toys to chew on. Loud noises can startle me, but with a little reassurance, I'll be as brave as a cowboy riding into the sunset. I'm still a puppy and learning all the house training rules. Doggy doors are still a mystery to me, but I'm eager to learn! I'm an independent pup, but my heart truly belongs with other dogs and people. Let's start our journey together! I should also mention that I've had my mom, Zelda, with me my entire life until she recently got adopted by amazing people in Austin. Before Danielle and Onur rescued me, I was being mistreated at a trailer park, living in horrible conditions, outside rain or shine, even during cold fronts. I was infested with fleas and malnourished, but thanks to their love and care, I'm now ready for my forever home.
