About Jolene

Jolene is a 4-year old female mixed hound. Her sire is a redbone coonhound and her mother is a lemon-back beagle. She has the redbone coloring and the beagle size and demeanor. She weighs about 35 pounds and is spayed and chipped. She loves being outside and prefers to hang out on the porch and patrol the perimeter of the house. She gets very anxious around other dogs and tries to avoid them. She absolutely loves people and especially kids. She's very active and loves to play fetch, whether it's a frisbee or a ball, she will play until you stop throwing it, which is something I've never seen in a hound. She is a hunter and will sometimes run off if she catches the scent of a rabbit, but she always comes back. I usually keep a tracking collar on her and she's very responsive to a beep that lets her know it's time to come home. She understands verbal commands, but can be stubborn when it comes to 'sit' and 'lay down' if she doesn't feel like it.
