About Appa

Alaskan Malamute
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Appa is really a good boy. He needs lots of love and attention and does not do the best when left unattended. We are working on crate training to help that issue. He currently has the kitchen blocked off which is where he stays when we are not home and as long as it is only a couple hours he does just fine. On days that are not too warm or too cold he has been able to go in and outside and he enjoy that a lot as well and has not had any issues when checked on. He will do best in an environment where people can either be around all the time or checking on him frequently. Appa has shown immense love to everyone in the family. I (his dad) has always been his pack leader and who he looks to for direction and confirmation, as he is a nervous boy around new and unfamiliar people and things. Sadly due to my young age and pursuing college education, and the fact that my parents are both unwilling to accommodate him I am left with no choice but to rehome him. This is a heartbreaking decision for me to make and makes me very nervous for his future. I hoped to be able to provide a great life for him and he truly does deserve that. He would do best in either a work from home or stay at home household with no other animals as he most enjoys being the center of attention, albeit on his terms. I really hope to find his forever home and people who will cherish him and care for him the way I have. Appa is a very special dog.
