About Chewbacca

Chewy for short. Chewy is 4 years old. He is a mini Aussie weighing about 35 pounds. His coloring is known as tri red merle (but looks brown). He loves walks, outdoors, swimming, fetch (not good at dropping), and playing with other dogs. He is very good on leash and is a great walker and running partner. Chewy grew up (since birth) with kids, and loves kids (especially the food they drop). He really is a good boy. He has been to puppy training and knows his commands of sit, lay down, play dead, etc. He is current on all vaccines and heart worm medicine and there are no issues with his health at the moment. He is a very active dog and will require daily play or running time (swimming in the summer is his favorite). The reason we need to re-home him: While chewy is great with people and kids he comes with a food aggression issue that requires formal training. unfortunately we are unable to provide the proper attention and training Chewy needs at the moment and need to re-home him to provide him with a better life. With training towards food aggression he would be a great dog. I hope someone is able to give him a happy home and lifestyle.
