About Tiger

Adoption Fee: $25
Domestic Cat
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

I adopted Tiger a few years ago from a local shelter. He has always been skittish and takes a long time to warm up to being around people. Once he trusts you he'll let you pet him and can be semi-cuddly until spooked. He spooks easily. He seems to still have a feral mentality that people are bad despite being an indoor cat for years. He was fine in my household until our other cat suddenly passed away and we brought home a dog. He absolutely fears the dog and it's not fair to know that Tiger is permanently hiding underneath my couches to avoid it. I tried giving it 30 days to see if they'd acclimate to one another, but Tiger is absolutely uninterested in bonding with the dog despite the dogs efforts to get to know him. He is in need of an updated Rabies vaccine as far as vaccinations go. Also, he is on a specialized diet due to developing urinary crystals that block his urethra. We have found that Petsmart sells his special food 'Hills Prescription Diet Urinary Care C/D'. He's only been around teenagers 14 and above as far as exposure to kids goes, so I don't know how he'd do with smaller children. I'm really trying to do the right thing by him, by finding him a home where he won't have to hide, and where he can get the attention I know he craves.
