About Athena

Athena was dumped in a commercial warehouse district without food, shelter or water. She ran around the complex confused and scared, not understanding why her humans left her behind. Thankfully one of the bays was still open late into the evening and a kind stranger saw Athena darting around looking for her family. She still had a collar and leash, but sadly no one was coming back for her. Athena gratefully accepted the stranger's help, and through a community effort of all the warehouse bay occupants Athena was placed with a foster through a rescue organization. Athena is super friendly with all people (kiddos and strangers included), and is very playful with other dogs. She walks well on a leash, rides quietly in a car, and is the best dang look out on these waters. Athena is a great listener and a fabulous couch potato. Snuggles are her favorite, but she won't turn down a snack either. =) Athena is about 4 years old and weighs around 65 lbs. The vet says she has Bell's palsy, (reasons unknown); however, it is not a medical issue and vet expects it to clear up on its own, eventually. Athena comes house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Please contact with any questions or to schedule a meet and greet. Home checks are required.
