About Nova

Nova is a rescue that my family adopted 4 years ago, in 2020. She is incredibly sweet and loyal to any family that will give her love and attention! She is house trained and leash trained. She walks on a rounded prong collar and e-collar. These are used to help with recall and when she gets hyper focused on another animal. In Nova's first home, she was unfortunately not properly socialised and was tied up, for forceful breeding purposes. She has some scars around her neck, under her fur. Because of the abuse she endured, she is not compatible with any other dogs or animals. However, she does incredibly well with our 2 year old son. They are best friends! She also does well with other adults and children after she has had time to meet you (takes about 30 minutes for her to warm up). After you give her cuddles and treats, she will be in your lap! Nova will need a home that understands her need to be active, requiring a big yard with a fence, and also understands how to maintain her temperament if she is taken on walks where she may pass other animals. We have absolutely loved having Nova as part of our family, and know that she will be able to give another family the same love and adoration as she finishes out her life!
