It is with heavy hearts that we attempt to re-home this sweetie pie. My partner's mother passed away at the end of last year and unfortunately, we already have our hands full with two large breeds of our own. Cody is such a sweet heart! She is vocal and has an attitude, but I think it's just adorable. She has spastic energy sometimes, but in general loves to chill out or talk at you. :) Cody has your typical husky personality -- big and idgaf. She is not keen on taking commands. When told to sit, she will generally wait thirty seconds with some expression akin to an eye-roll, until finally taking a seat. She is very smart. Cody enjoys being active and has been raised with three other energetic large breed dogs for over the past year. That said, she loves lounging more than any of them and can usually be found sleeping in a far off room under a bed. Cody does bark at strangers. She does not respond well to overly dominant or masculine energy. In general, she responds better to females, but he will warm up to any gender if given the correct approach. When meeting new people Cody will bark in a non-threatening albeit annoying manner. She will warm up to mostly all adults but will continue talking at them with an attitude likely forever. Cody is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. We found Cody, un-chipped, as a stray. We estimate Cody is around four years old. Cody was, for sometime, raised with two cats -- but they were never fully trusted to be alone together. We have been taking care of her for well over a year now, so she would need quite a bit of time and training to get acquainted with cats if she was to live with any. In our experience, Cody has an attitude with some dogs and gets along fine with others. It's hard to tell what changes things, but for us, it appears that she prefers our male dogs. Cody does not have much experience around young children. The few times she has, she's responded with brattiness and jealousy. She has never been aggressive, but does seem pretty clearly not to like them, at least at first. We think that Cody is so funny and full of personality! She is also very soft and adorable. Cody would be a wonderful addition to the right family!
