About Sora

My name is Sora and I've been searching for my forever home for 233 days. My family decided they didn't want me anymore and left me abandoned outside an apartment complex. I'm not sure exactly how long I lived on the streets, but it was long enough to get really sick and skinny. Eventually a nice lady who worked at the complex found me and started to feed me. Then, not long after that, another lady showed up and took me to her house. She has been my foster family ever since that day. She took me to the vet a lot when she first saved me. I had a horrible ear infection that took 2 months to finally go away. You may wonder why it took so long. Well that's because I have FIV. The easiest way to describe it is that I have a weakened immune system. So my body had a really hard time fighting off that ear infection. People still get really scared when they hear that a cat has FIV. It can make it hard for cats with it to find homes. The good news is that I can still live a long and happy life even though there is no cure for FIV. You just want to keep up with the yearly vet visits so that I stay healthy. The nice lady also got me neutered, dewormed, microchipped, had blood work done (which all came back clear) and snap tested. I'd really like to find a family who could give me lots of love and attention. I'm playful, especially with feather wand toys. I'm obsessed with cat tunnels. I can't get enough of them! I'm very friendly, even with strangers. When we really get to know each other I'll constantly show you my belly and make lots of biscuits. I'm talkative, especially around meal times. I've never had an accident outside the litter box. I can get spurts of energy, but I'm also happy just laying in the sunshine or watching the birds outside a window. It's important that I'm the only pet in the house. You see, I don't like other cats and dogs. I've also never been around young children so I'm not sure if I'll like them. Because of that I'd like a home that didn't have kids under the age of 10. The rescue I'm with is called Handover Rover. I hope that you can be my new family!
