All your questions are answered in this narrative.. if you read everything, & you think that you might fit the bill after reading what's written here, please feel free to call me..Already being given up to rehome and no fault of hers...at such a young age..still just a puppy...just turned 1 yr old in March ...weighing about 60 lbs....2nd dog this family got and gave up.. She is a pure labrador retriever ...lives with small young children and very friendly... would be great if she could go into a home with more children. She lives with two cats and always wants to play with them. Has never shown any aggression to any other animal. She has play dates with a terrier and a belgian malinois. Leia loves the water as much as labs do and loves to play. She does need to work on refraining from jumping on people, as she has a lot of energy and wants to play. I have been doing rescue for 35 years, and my goal is to make sure I get Leia the home that she needs with a family who will love her and give her all the playtime and exercise and care that she deserves for the rest of her life. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago and have slowed down with rescue tremendously, but hearing about Leia's story, I was compelled to see to it that she is properly rehomed and she gets the loving home that she deserves. Leia is a great dog, and is oh so beautiful! She is potty trained. She would do best in a house with a completely enclosed yard (no chain link fences). She would be a great companion to a family. I have made the commitment to Leia to make sure I find her the opportunity to find the right home she needs and deserves. My promise to her now is to make sure I find her the best forever home with one who will love her for the many years she has ahead ....a family who will continue to let us know how wonderful she is doing. Leia will be your best friend. Will you be hers?? We are looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give her as much as she deserves. She comes to you spayed, microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention& if u adopt her you MUST keep her on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
