About Buddy

Buddy is sweet and adorable and looking for a special forever home! Buddy came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray and not reclaimed. He is a very affectionate boy who loves people and going on walks. His ideal home would be quiet with someone home most of the time, and experienced schnauzer lover, and if there is another dog, one that is friendly and submissive. He does great with female dogs and submissive males. He does not do well being handled by a groomer or vet, so we would not consider him to be a candidate to be a lap dog. But if you're looking for an affectionate companion, Buddy is available! Buddy would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with no children since too much activity scares him. He is about 5 years old, neutered, just had a dental, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm and fecal tested negative. He weighs about 12 lbs. He is being fostered in the Chicago area. We require an adoption application, phone interview, virtual house check, and meet and greet with your entire family.
