About Biggie

Biggie is one of four dogs (Corgi, Boxer mixes and Corgi Shepard mixes we believe) who were dumped in an alley in the town in Mojave,CA the day before Thanksgiving (11/22/23). After three days trying to catch and finally in a safe place and off the busy hwy surrounded roads, we opted to help the four ourselves because of the extreme stress and neglect these pups had been through, they were very fearful of humans. Two of which were biters when scared. Biggie is the biggest of his brothers and he is also the one they all protected, despite being 1/2- 3/4th his size. he is the big sweet and confused baby of the four. his protector and bestfriend, brother, Sarge just passed away after the two climbed out of the yards chainlink fence and got hit by a car. the last thing Sarge did, was what Sarge always had done... took care of Biggie and made sure to lead him home before he collapsed and waited for help. sadly we werent able to save him and he was put to rest at the vets and then brought home to be buried and for Biggie to say goodbye. Biggie has been a completely lost wreck since Sarge Passed away. He tried to climb in the hole with him and everything. It is heartbreaking to see. he is sweet, but he needs a friend and someone to look out for him that he can put his trust in to protect him, play with him, cuddle with, and spend his time since he is now alone and his other two brothers are being fostered together at another location. He DOES have anxiety very bad, and since Sarge passed, the progress we had made crashed back down to zero. He needs someone with a lot of patience and the ability to earn his trust which is very hard to do. He is a vocal talker. lol. he used to tattle on Sarge when he would get out of the fence. He also is very great at climbing, being part boxer, and he is smart (doofy side apart) and thats where his Corgi mix traits come in. He can jump and climb over a chainlink fence and anything else if it gives an opportunity to climb on and over with. He is most likely to do so when he is scared. which right now, if very often. i am in the works of building coyote rollers along the fence line to try to prevent him from being able to get over the fence any more. He is really a very sweet guy, who needs a lot of understanding and love to make up for all he has been through in his short life so far. He is good with kids, he does not bite, but he will run and hide like his life depends on it when scared or not sure if he can trust you. Hes only ever lived outside, and aadly thats not something we have been able to start working with him on, due to his distrust in people, its hard to get him safely into the house without freaking him out. These are reasons we have kept him out of our local VERY high kill shelters! he wouldnt have stood a chance! So Biggie needs someone very understanding of his needs, because he is a special guy with special needs and we will do all we can to help with him and anyone who is confident they can give him the life he deserves. We will not let him go anywhere with anyone who doesnt understand and seem to be up for the task of caring for him, but of course, if for any reason, you change your mind or he isnt a fit for you after all, we will 100% take him back! We are in the process of getting him fixed and fully vaxed! its iust a matter of earning his trust back again, in order to get him to a vet without risking his safety to do so. Biggie needs someone, and we have done everything we can and will continue to, but he does need a furever home and the chance to be someones best goofy little companion. i think this is the only way he will really fully come out of his shell!
