About Toast

Adoption Fee: $400
Catahoula / Boxer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

If you are looking for the ultimate energetic derp dog, you've come to the right place. Meet Toast! We LOVE this guy and his unbridled zest for life. We've never had a dog make us laugh so much! This 1 year old, 40lbs Catahoula mix came to us from Maui Humane Society and is a total goofball. He loves everyone and everything to the point of being completely ADHD because the world is so dang exciting and he wants to take it ALL in! He loves life and is looking for someone who wants to live it up as much as he does. Toast is good with dogs, cats, and kids. He's crate trained and housebroken. He will sit or lie down for a treat. Toast has the best temperament and is so sweet, but we will shoot straight: he's a puppy! He is also deaf, which makes him even more chaotic, but in the best way possible. He doesn't know there's anything wrong with him, which is quite possibly the most endearing and inspiring thing about him. Plus, his deafness is a bonus because you never have to worry about him barking like a madman if someone knocks on your door, rings your doorbell, or other dogs bark (he can bark, it just generally happens when he plays). Toast would do best in a home with people who are active and/or have a backyard that he can zoomie in. He loves to zoomie! A playful dog friend would be awesome, but the most important thing he needs is patient people who are willing to work with him on training while maintaining the same level of positivity and joy he brings to every second of everything he does. If you understand that the best things in life take some effort and you want to adopt a dog that's going to brighten up your life, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Toast is waiting to be the reason you smile and laugh multiple times a day!
