He is a s-year-old shih tzu who weighs approximately 10 pounds. Patches was pulled by rescue along with his housemate Peanut after being surrendered to a shelter in Baltimore through no fault of their own. Patches is a sweet boy, but because of his past trauma, he will need a patient and loving home, and please remember, it may take him a minute to warm up, but once he does, he will be your little shadow! Patches loves sleeping in the big bed, so allowing him in the human bed will be a requirement of anyone considering adopting him. He is good with other dogs, but has not been exposed to cats or children, however, we think he would be fine with other, respectful kids. He is still working on his housetraining skills as well. We feel that having another well-balanced dog of similar age in the home would be best in order for him to gain confidence and model 'good dog' behavior after. And no apartments, please, because this boy likes to talk and boy, does he have a lot to say! Patches is fully vetted, and crate trained.
