We need to find Ruger a home. We rescued him in December from a parking lot and have nursed him to health (he was abandoned and emaciated). He is at his goal weight now, up to date on all his shots, and microchipped. He is approximately two years old and is very sweet. He is house broken and loves riding in the car. He is kennel trained. He knows some basic commands (come, sit, stay). He is not off-leash ready in public. He is great being in public and doesn't pull or bark. He is friendly when he meets people but can be shy at first. He does bark if someone comes to the door. He is a big dog and would do well with a yard or active owner. He usually gets along with other animals, however, he and our boxer have recently had some disagreements. Our feeling is he would do better as a single dog. He likes playing with our other two dogs, and has never had an issue with our lab, but the boxer is closer to his age and I believe they get jealous of each other. We know he is a mix breed but we don't know exactly which breeds. He has very soft, smooth, long hair like a golden retriever. He has a build like a shepard. If you think Ruger might be a fit please text me.
