About Jonah

Foster or Adopter wanted! Jonah urgently needs a new foster or adopter. Meet Jonah! This 5 year old mixed breed dog (with some Shepherd features) has come all the way from Texas where he was originally adopted when he was young. His family has been expanding and the third child is due in just a few weeks. Jonah is uncomfortable around small children which is the primary reason he needs to find his next chapter. Jonah has recently been in foster with a Purdue student who is leaving for an internship. She has had nothing but good things to say about him. Jonah is great with other dogs and good with adult-sized people. He tends to be nervous around younger children. He seems to have allergies to cats that he has been around in the past. Jonah is a fantastic boy. He weighs about 75 pounds and is house trained and crate trained. He is mostly lazy, loves to cuddle, and very affectionate. He adores fetch and spending time outside watching the scenery. He loves to be a companion dog. He has had some experience with professional training, too. He would be a good hiking buddy and has loved his time with his Purdue foster going for all the hikes! Jonah has visited Dog Parks and seems to be best with dogs similar in size and energy level. Jonah can be a bit protective when strangers enter the home but he quickly settles knowing his owners are OK. Jonah is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
