About Lady Luck

You might recognize her, she was with us a couple months ago and was recently returned because her adoptive mom says she's happiest with other dogs. She loved going to the dog park and really perked up when other dogs were around and seemed depressed when they weren't. So she came back to us so she can find a home with a furry friend! Lady Luck is so sweet and happily receives pets and will give kisses. She absolutely loves ear scratches and belly rubs too! Although she can still be skittish around loud sounds or sudden movements, she has a very easy going personality and gets along well with other small dogs and even cats. Originally we thought she would be fine as an only, but it seems that she's one of those dogs that's truly happy when she has a dog friend of her own, one close to her size. She would be okay with kids who know how to behave with small dogs. Lady Luck has discovered that she really loves to snuggle up in the big bed and will bark to let you know that she is ready to be picked up. That is typically the only time that she barks as she is a very quiet girl the rest of the time. She loves to roll around both inside on rugs or outside in the grass. She rides quietly in the car and loves to look out the window. Lady Luck has been doing well walking on a leash and is working on her potty training. She will often use puppy pads inside (remember, to a dog a rug and a puppy pad are pretty much the same thing!) but she isn't fully housebroken yet. This is something that should improve over time with someone working with her as she adjusts to a permanent home and routine. Fun fact: Lady Luck has the most perfect manners and will neatly fold up her blanket and place it inside her empty food bowl when she's done eating! We're not sure where she learned that trick, but it sure is adorable! Anyone would be very lucky to add this sweet little girl to their family! Lady Luck has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She had a dental when she was spayed and lost 20 bad teeth. We are hopeful that we are going to find her the right home soon, she's a sweet little girl and deserves the best! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
