About Mamie

ONLY AVAILABLE TO HOMES IN SLO, SANTA BARBARA, VENTURA, and WESTERN LA COUNTY: Mamie is a petite beauty at 35 lbs, so she's a great size! We think she's a purebred blue heeler although there could be some Australian Shepherd in there (they call that a Texas Heeler). She looks to be 2-3 years old. Poor Mamie came to us clearly having been neglected. She has absolutely blossomed in foster care, going from scared of the world to excited to be out in it! She loves walks and meeting new people. She's great with other dogs too. She's very easy to have around the house, as she is housebroken and taught herself to use a dog door. She has met cats once and was pretty excited, but might be ok with proper training. She is very low prey drive. She also likes kids. Mamie is not a high energy dog; she'd be fine with a daily neighborhood stroll.
