About Gemma

�'�%BC��%8FDream Dog Alert�'�%BC��%8F We are pleased to introduce you to this gem of a girl, Gemma! She is a gorgeous 2-yr old black shepherd mix with all of the amazing attributes of a young K-9 in training. Smart and sassy, this girl will run circles around any working breed but loves a good snuggle! And don't try to just use one hand for pets - she knows you have two! We are working on her manners when she meets new friends, but she warms up quickly and bonds to those who show her affection. She is food motivated, knows how to sit, give her paw, and we are learning to heel along with building a solid recall. She's good on the leash, rides well in the car, loves chew toys (so don't leave your shoes around) and buries anything that looks like a ball! She has been tested around cats, but no other small animals. Friendly with adults, dogs and teenagers, but will need some training around little ones - because she loves to play rough and tumble! Gemma MUST have an owner who is willing to consistently put time and energy into training and activity. She would love wide open spaces, but would be happy with a small fenced backyard if she has daily training and walks. She would do best with another doggy buddy who she can run and wrestle with all day! Gemma would be best fit with a person or family who is very active daily and can provide the activity and training to reach her full potential! Gemma is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, and microchipped. She had a litter of puppies in February and will have a spay appointment soon. Her new family will be required to keep that spay appointment. Gemma's adoption fee is $200 and she is located in the Pensacola, FL area.
