About Apollo

Apollo is an 9 year old male, mostly Rhodesian ridgeback, mix. He's been Neutered and is current on vaccines and has been taking heartguard. Personality wise, he's very friendly and cuddly with anyone gradeschool age and older. He's inconsistent with really little kids, sometimes he likes them, sometimes he is indifferent, and sometimes he avoids them and just wants to be left alone by them. As for other animals, he mostly doesn't like them. Some other dogs he is fine with, most dogs he is a jerk to/wants to be dominant. On rare occasions he has been aggressive toward other dogs. He has never broken skin on another dog. He was leash trained, but we don't get to walk much anymore and he has reverted to pulling quite often when on a leash. He is crate trained. He is house broken. He knows sit, stay, lay-down, gimme-5, leave-it, and crawl. We are having to re-home him because our 3 year old daughter was sensory seeking and Apollo was in his leave me alone mood. He didn't bite her, but when he swung his head around with his mouth open, a single tooth broke skin on her cheek. And while we love Apollo, we can't keep him. Most of the time, he is a good dog who wants to listen and obey. We've asked friends and family, and no one is in a position to take him.
