About Angus

Meet adoptable Angus! Angus was seized from his owners a few weeks ago due to neglect. He was found on a bunch of leashes that had been tied together in an attempt to make a suitable tether. Unfortunately, a fence had actually fallen on top of him when we discovered him, and due to a tight collar, he was really struggling to breathe. Thankfully, it was a right place and time situation, so we were able to get Angus freed and he is a happy HAS dog now! He is pretty hopeful to find his forever family soon, and is certain that he won't have to worry about being ignored or forgotten again! Angus is a beautiful, sweet soul who has been emotionally neglected which is sad to witness! He has a lot of love to give, and would love a home where he can lounge around with his family. While he is still relatively young, we would say he is low energy. That being said, he would be a good fit for a family who wants a younger dog, but not all the excitement that comes with raising a puppy. Due to living a life tied up without the opportunity for socialization with other dogs, it doesn't appear that Angus will be good to live with other dogs in his future home. It would be best if Angus could be someone's one and only! While he may not be good with other dogs, he is great with kids and would be happy to have little ones to cuddle up to every night. Angus is about two years old and weighs 42 pounds. He has been completely vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites, and has tested positive for heartworm disease in shelter, this is treatable, so don't let it discourage you from adopting such a sweet guy! Angus has already been neutered.
