Urgent Plea for Bear! Meet Bear, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever/ Great Pyrenees mix, and a true survivor with a heartwarming and heartbreaking tale. Rescued from the verge of euthanasia at the shelter, Bear's life took a turn for the better thanks to compassionate fosters who saw his potential for love and joy. Then a family wanted to meet Bear. They instantly fell in love with him but were uncertain if the mom could handle a dog of his size. Bear weighed more than his potential new mom. They agreed to an adoption trial and the original fosters agreed to take him back if it didn't work out. Wellthe family decided that a medium-sized dog would be a better fit. Then things took a turn for the worse. Poor Bear...tossed around like a ragdoll. First, hopeful promises from fosters who vowed to be there if things fell apart, only to turn their backs when he needed them most. Then, a new home, only to be deemed too big for comfort. And the ones who first rescued him? They went back on their word and threatened to take him to the vet and have him euthanized, if he were to return. Now, with time slipping away and no place to call his own, Bear's future hangs in the balance, desperately seeking a sanctuary where love knows no bounds. Bear is looking for his loving home and forever family by May 1st. He is a gentle giant, adores people and children, finding joy in the simple pleasures of treats and toys. His leash manners are generally good, but he can get a bit excited when he spots another dog. But Bear's charm goes beyond the expected%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|he's a belly rub connoisseur and appreciates a good cuddlefest, creating a bond that melts hearts. In a lighthearted twist, Bear's playful spirit shone through during construction work on his original foster's home. The construction worker, armed with a shovel, was digging a hole. Bear decided to lend a paw and started digging a hole too, earning a grateful 'thanks for your help, buddy.' Now, Bear is on the lookout for his forever family, ready to share his love and quirks with those who appreciate a furry companion.
