About Elwyn

Elwyn had been wandering around on his own for about 2 weeks when Good Samaritans took him in. He is very sweet and gentle with other dogs. He appears to be a Great Pyrenees mix. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is a big cuddle bug and loves to wrestle with his pyr foster sister, which we have deemed 'polar bear wrestling.' He barks at strangers at first but is pretty chill otherwise. He gets along well with other dogs but does try to play with cats by chasing them, which they're not always a fan of. He has not shown any aggression towards humans or other animals. He's a real lovebug. Elwyn will complete his vetting 5/1/24 and will then be adoption ready! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
