About Loki

Photo of Loki-attached Origin-Border Collie Black Lab mix. We purchased him off of a KSL listing. 5 years old-Birthday October 2018 Temperament-Mild. He is a very calm dog, sweet and loving. Health-He has been neutered and is current on all vaccinations Medical issues-He has seasonal allergies usually requiring an allergy shot once in the spring. Behavior-Mild. Loki is very calm around kids and strangers. He doesn't jump up or bark. He loves to sit, lay or sleep next to you. He will sit at attention by your feet and wait patiently for some love, like a scratch behind the ears, or tummy. He is very sociable and wants to be near you. When working on the computer or in the kitchen he will just quietly curl up and watch you work or take a nap. His favorite thing to do is go for walks, swim in ponds and play hide and seek. He doesn't pull the leash and stays right by your side. If he's off leash just call his name or whistle and he comes right back. Loki is very social with other dogs. He's very good at making friends with new dogs whether on a walk, off leash at a dog park or at a boarding kennel. He is usually the staff's favorite dog because he is highly intelligent, obedient, calm and fun. He's had limited interaction with cats and livestock but no doubt would do well with both. Skills-Loki is highly intelligent. Loki is house trained and crate trained. He has been trained to ring a doggie doorbell to go in and out. He also has been trained to ding a bell hung from a door to signal going out or in. He is a great fetch companion. He is very quick to retrieve a ball that you've thrown and bring it right back to your feet. His favorite hobby is to swim. He will retrive a fake duck or ball that you throw in the water and bring it right back to you. He will do that all day long if you let him. He rides well in cars and the bed of trucks. He knows cues such as sit, shake, drop it. leave it, and roll over. Behavioral issues-none Reason for surrender-Our kids have all moved out and we both work full time. Loki deserves love and attention that we just can't give him. He has been such an amazing part of our family for so long and now he needs us to find him a safe and loving home where he can get the love that he so freely gives.
