Courtesy Posting: X URGENT IN UTAH (NORTHEAST OF SLC) - GORGEOUS 1 YR AUSSIE/CHOW X GIRL - 'REECE'- GOOD HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE NEEDED ASAP BEFORE SHE IS EUTHANIZED- ROOSEVELT CITY ANIMAL SHELTER IS ASKING FOR HELP AS THEY ARE BEYOND CAPACITY AND DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO EUTHANIZE HER FOR SPACE! This is an Owner surrender situation due to alleged allergies and asthma to both dogs. However, 'Rock-e' the labradoodle who Reece lived has already found rescue, and beautiful girl Reece has been left behind and is in urgent need of finding placement before she is killed! According to the shelter and their original post which includes information on Rock-e as well, 'Reece is an Aussie/Chow mix. She is fully house broken and loves cuddles. If allowed to, she would give kisses for hours. She is 1 year old. She lives with Rock-E (short for Rock Eater, because if he can't find a ball for you to throw a rock will do.) Rock-E is a Labradoodle that is going on 3 years old. He is also fully house broken. They both have been fixed and shots are up to date. Shots will be due in August 2024. They both know the sit command. They are kennel trained. You just have to tell them to get in bed and they know that is their kennel. A double finger snap will get them there too. They have been around my daughter's dog and they get along well. We also have a cat which is tempting for Reece, but she hasn't hurt him. Reece can get a little aggressive when playing with other dogs, but has never injured them. Rock-e adores kids, he has been extremely gentle with all our grandkids, even as a puppy. He would just sit patiently and let them love on him (especially the 1 year old granddaughter). Reese is good with them, but they are little and she likes to try and give kisses and sometimes they end up knocked over. The kids get annoyed with her quite often. Rabies certificates available.' The shelter says she can be adopted or rescued, but as we know, most rescues need fosters. Reece could be spayed for an adopter. If you are seriously interested and can adopt or rescue, please reach out to the shelter asap at (435) 725-3649 AND [email protected] You may ask for the manager Rose. Or, if you can foster, please let them also know, although only local fosters may work. Please also reach out to [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network if you can foster or have any additional questions.
