DID OKAY W/ FEMALE DOG DURING TEST, BUT MAY BE DOG SELECTIVE OR NEED SLOW INTRO, OR ONLY DOG. MAY BE ADOPTED BUT WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP DUE TO HIS URGENT STATUS - SHELTER IS FULL AND HE WILL BE EUTHANIZED ANYTIME. Help! The shelter is asking for help for this very handsome and friendly boy who came into the Hesperia shelter and is listed as a Chow and Golden Retriever mix. The shelter has named him Narnia and says, 'Narnia is an intact male, about 4 years old. He is calm and well mannered in and out of the kennel. Good with people. Not so good with other dogs. He was dog tested with a female lab mix. Initially, Narnia was not reactive while dog was around him. Then upon coming around the dog another time, Narnia growled at her. At this time, I wouldn't recommend other dogs. Other than that, Narnia is a good dog. Walks well on a leash. Not too interested in toys.' We also have video of Narnia around another dog and he also was not reactive and walked away. Despite this and all the positives, the shelter has put him on the euthanasia list with a very short deadline because they have no room. Narnia has no reported medical issues and weighs 64 lbs. We are therefore desperately looking for a savvy foster or home, and a rescue (rescue group need fosters) to save Narnia's life!!
