Esme is a female German shepherd mix about 4 years old. I adopted her from a shelter about 3 years ago. I was told when I adopted her that she was found as a stray initially, was adopted by a family but then escaped and was again brought to the shelter as a stray when I took her home. So she is an escape risk. She is very affectionate and loves attention from people she knows. She does not like cats and barks aggressively at other dogs but I don't know how she would respond to another dog as I have not had her around other dogs to be safe. She loves to be outside and watch the birds and squirrels. She also loves squeaky toys, the louder and more irritating, the better! As difficult as this is for me, an insecure and unhealthy living situation has led me to look for a new home for Esme. She deserves lot feel secure in her home and unfortunately, I cannot give that to her at the moment.
