About Fred

Fred is an incredibly sweet and playful orange tabby, eight years old. We adopted Fred at 10 weeks old with his brother. Fred has given us so much love over our years together. Unfortunately, he has behavioral issues we have been struggling with for years. He has anxiety, and receives medication (Fluoxetine), but it does not totally quell the anxiety, which manifests in Fred 'spraying' on our furniture and walls. We welcomed a baby eight months ago, and while Fred has never, ever been aggressive with the baby, he is either scared or uninterested. He mostly spends his days hiding, and comes out after the baby goes to bed for his playtime. He is starting to fight more aggressively with his brother cat. For all these reasons, we have made the impossible decision to re-home our beloved cat. We have tried every option for many years. Fred will thrive in a household without kids where he can be the sole pet. He needs lots of love and attention. He loves to cuddle, play, and will make you laugh and laugh. We will miss him dearly.
