Bama-Alabama is Heartworm positive but don't let that stop you from adopting this sweet soul! Our rescue will treat him for heartworm and pay for his treatment, for that reason he is local adoption only - within 1 hour of Wake Forest, NC. Sweet Home Alabama - well, that is exactly what Alabama is looking for!! Alabama is an easy boy and would be fine in a house of 1 person or 10 people. He'd be good with dogs or without them. He's just a happy guy and loves to give hugs and stare into your eyes lovingly. He's already been good with kids so that's another box checked for sweet Alabama. Got Pool? Well, then you may find Alabama boy cooling off in it on hot days. He's goofy and loves butt scratches. Do you have a house without a fence and want the perfect dog to shower with love? Alabama LOVES to spend time with his humans, and does not need a fence. He is good on a leash, too and enjoys daily strolls! Bama is really a couch potato and would rather be inside with his humans than outside investigating the world. Alabama loves taking car rides and hopes you will take him everywhere you go. He is a fan favorite and loves everyone he meets. He is social butterfly with a happy go-lucky personality. He is fairly low maintenance and would do well with a first time dog owner. He enjoys visiting doggie daycare and mingling but doesn't need to romp and play the whole time, after some playtime he'll lie down and just watch the excitement. He's not super energetic, so if you're a marathon runner, keep running because Alabama ain't about that life. As part of Alabama's $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
