Hal was taken off Rescue Me 2 yrs ago from an apartment living situation. I've worked basic training, socializing people and other dogs and farm animals for 2 yrs. She's ACD/ Border Collie and will need a family that knows how to address intense behavior. She would have made an excellent agility dog but prior to her original rescue (in puppy hood) she sustained damage to her carpal joint. One must be aware of this injury and an additional hock (soft tissue) injury from an altercation with another foster herding dog recently that becomes noticeable until she 'warms' up. I am her foster and can vouch for how fun (she MUST have access to swimming! )and easy to care for she has become. Hal has been on my not completely fenced 8 acre farm without choosing to go on additional 'walk abouts' even if one of the other ( I have 6 other herding dog rescues) dogs decide to leave-she has a loyal sense of home. Her ideal new family should be aware of the work, play and rest these breeds must have to make for a Happily Ever After. Let's chat about Hal Dolly if her intro is appealing; my phone is NOT a cell. NO Text but the pc runs and so does the land line. There will be a negotiable fee.
