About Charlie

This is Charlie. I rescued him from Riverside animal shelter in 2021. He was on the red list and about to be euthanized. I've fostered him now for almost 3 years. I've paid for a trainer, worked with him on pulling, aggression towards dogs and men. But he bit me the other night and now I feel I need to urgently find him a new home. Ideally with no other animals. He has always been good with men until the last 4-5 months he seems to constantly need to protect me on walks. He loves to be outside, loves his walks, is such a snuggler, very mellow, but does like to play tug of war with his toys and towels. Until last week he had never gotten aggressive towards me. It was triggered on our walk when another dog was trying to get at Charlie, I pulled him down and he jumped up and bit my leg. It did not break skin but really scared me. He will need more training and/or need to have a big yard, I think that because we live in apartments where there are children and dogs constantly walking by us it makes him anxious.
