About Callie

Callie is looking for her FOREVER HOME! It's been just a few weeks since we rescued this poor little girl from Taylor County Animal Control. She was tied to their mailbox overnight, emaciated, covered in fleas with mange and widespread hair loss. She has been getting antibiotics, medicated baths and Nexgard and is completely healed. She is in a loving foster home in Citrus Springs, Florida. Callie is a 1 year old very sweet and very smart Beagle/terrier mix and weighs 18 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date with shots. With everything this little girl has been through , we are surprised by how people friendly Callie is! Callie wants to love you, she wants to be near you, and she wants to make you happy. Callie doesn't have a mean bone in her body, however her puppy exuberance can be a lot so no small children would be best. She is dog friendly and likes to play all day. She would do great with a dog bigger than her to play with. No cats for Callie though, as she loves them just a 'little too much'. Callie is an endearing pup who is easy to love. She just needs a little time to catch up on all those puppy lessons she missed out on. Callie is crate trained and seldom has accidents in the house. She does great with schedules and predictability. Callie is doing well on lead and just needs a bit more practice. She loves going for rides in the car and Dunkin Donuts pup cups are her most favorite things.
