��%90%BEAdoptable: Lucy��%90%BE This sweet girl is Lucy Lu. Lucy is a gentle 1 year old female that was luckily found by a wonderful K9 officer when she was tied to a post in a NJ park last month. She was left in the wooded treeline, without a collar, microchip...and without a family. After being nursed back to health by the officer and his family, Lucy is gaining confidence (and weight!) and is learning that there are so many good people (and dogs) in the world. Lucy Lu likes her humans, but bonds more to her 4-legged foster siblings. She loves to run and play, and is eager to learn. Although shy at first, she comes out of her shell and will be your best friend. Lucy Lu would do well in a home with a fenced in area and other confident dogs for her to play with; she will not be placed in a home with another female shepherd. She has not been around small children but can be slightly mouthy (she's still a pup!) so a home with dog-savvy older children would be ideal. She has not been exposed to cats or small animals. She is now spayed (still recovering from the surgery), microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.... She is about 60lb. Since Lucy does lack confidence in certain situations, she will need a strong handler/leader who will guide her and continue to bond, train, and build her confidence. She does enjoy walks/hikes and running in the yard with her doggy foster siblings. An active family that is willing to provide training would be required for Lucy's continued success. (And although she was found by an amazing K9 handler, she is not working dog material �٪� ) If you think Lucy Lu may be a good fit for your home, please apply at gsgsr.org.
