About Bailey

This sweet girl was taken in as an emergency foster from an eviction situation and our hearts and home were opened up for her at the last minute to avoid her being dropped at a shelter! She is such a loving, smart, possessive girl and must be the only dog in the home. She has learned to enjoy walks on the leash and running free in the fenced-in backyard, how to play fetch and take care rides as she sits nicely on seat. She is being spoiled with lots of love and constant attention. We were told she is a Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle dog and will be approx. 3 years old the beginning of May. She appears to be about 45-50lbs (+/-). She came to our home trained on pee pads and we have since trained her to go outside which she learned quickly and now does both with no accidents inside at all. Prior to us taking her in we were told she lived with (2) chihuahuas and was almost always crated and taken out for food and potty time only. She is free to be herself in our home and does not get into anything she should not. She has learned manners including not putting her paws up on island or counters. She loves lying in a chair or on couch with her human. Not sure how she is with kids/cats as we have none in the home but with this breed instinct I have read they are not great with either unless they are trained up and socialized at a young age, which she was not. She loves to lay with you and cuddle after a walk or jaunt in the yard. She loves plush squeaky toys and can chew them apart quickly if they are not durable. She is so full of life and love! She needs a quiet and peaceful home where someone is often home. She is loyal and desires to be by your side all the time. She sleeps well at night in bed with her human and is also good with a crate, when needed. There is no hurry to rehome this girl as she is happy, safe and loved and will be carefully placed with the perfect family when the right furever home is found.
