About Ripley

3 year old Dutch Malinois mix, left in a shelter after two years in a home with adults and at least one kid. The owner who surrendered has not told a straight story, so we're trying to figure things out on our own. Potential create reactivity, and has nipped at vet staff trying to do a physical. Otherwise very friendly, food motivated, and obedient. I pulled him from the shelter because he was sick and in isolation and deteriorating fast. I do not have the home or the space for a malinois, and I'd love to give him the best opportunity to thrive. While he awaits the perfect adopter he is working with a reputable SAR and French ring trainer. It appears that he has little to no bite drive. He is currently underweight (56 pounds), and will need someone to help him get his weight up.
