About Kensi

I rescued Kensi (posted as Lucille) from the Riverside Animal Shelter which is a HIGH KILL shelter on March 29th and am unable to keep her. I was trying to save her, but if I can't find a home or a rescue to take her, I will have to take her back. She was on the euthanasia list and I am afraid they would put her back on the list or just euthanize her if I did. I'm desperate to find other options for her. Kensi has a wonderful temperament, is very loving and well-behaved in the home. She is social and accepting of adults. As I have only had her a few weeks, I have not seen her around children but she seems very people-friendly in general. I have a 15 pound Terrier and she gets along with him great. She does have a strong prey drive and does not get along with dogs she is unfamiliar with and needs to be leashed and supervised. She will need someone who can work with her as she needs correction on lunging at other dogs on walks. She is distractible and does respond to corrections. I do believe she can be dog-friendly with proper introductions.$ I do not have a yard or the ability to keep her. It's obvious someone used her as a breeding machine and then dumped her. Please help! This is very time-sensitive!
