About Theodore

Do you love Samuskies? Because this all white Samoy-Siberian Husky needs his furever home. Rescued from death's door at Downey Shelter (literally hours before they killed him) Theo is looking for a long term foster (2-4 months)or his furever home. Neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, Theo will also have had his wellness vet visit and be groomed and ready to go for you. Theo was surrendered to the shelter by his owner because they were 'moving.' They did leave notes about Theo and here is what the previous owner do dumped him said: Theo is good with dogs but prefers little dogs in particular. His play style is more calm and relaxed so he likes to play with smaller dogs. He lived in a house with kids ages nine and seven as well as birds. He spent the majority of his time outside but he is housebroken and likes to be inside for comfort. Temperament: Theo appears to be a very calm, chill boy. He is good with people and has a very relaxed demeanor. He prefers a nice soft spot to lay and snooze and of course a chill walk around the neighborhood. His temperament is relatively low maintenance. He's not a screamer or a barker so for a Husky he is very quiet! He rides well in the car but does need help getting in. So far he has been Non reactive with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and small animals. We do not detect any type of prey drive at this time. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE HAIR: Dogs like these have a lot of hair and they shed their undercoat 2 x a year so hair will be a part of the deal. We recommend bathing every 6 or so weeks and de-shedding a few times a year to maintain the coat. Adoption Fee: $250 which will include the bag of Food Theo is eating, treats, and any toys he is engaging with. We are also willing to transport Theo 200 miles outside of Los Angeles at no additional fee. Northern California transport is $175. Out of state has to be priced. We can also potentially fly a dog to Minnesota for the fee the airlines charge. If you are adopting out of state we will waive the adoption fee in lieu of transport costs.
