1 year old purebred Great Pyrenees. Birthday 12/28/2022. Have papers to register with AKC, but have not. Current on Rabies Vaccination - non neutered. Has been raised as a house family dog around 2 other dogs, (1 female golden retriever - 1 male fox terrier), as well as 1 cat and 2 small children - he is generally well behaved with them. However, he is very alpha dominant and despite daily walks at park to socialize and meet other dogs and people at around 9 months old he suddenly changed and would not let anyone other than our family come in the house and has become aggressive towards other dogs outside of the house, he also becomes food aggressive mostly with things he tries to steal out of the garbage. He has not bitten anyone as of yet but he needs a trainer with patience and experience who can properly train him. He can be very loving and I believe he can be rehabilitated to someone with a farm where he can work or with extensive training backgrounds. Although it will probably be a slow process especially when first meeting and earning his trust. We would love to keep him but trainers have told us fees up to $10k which we cannot afford. We don't want him to be put down, we would love to find him a good home where he can work and have a job as I believe he will do well given the proper training that we are unfortunately unable to provide.
