About Leo

When puppies are having a hard time getting adopted, you know that rescues and shelters are full! Let's get the numbers down starting with little Leo! Leo is a small, nine-month-old mix who has been in foster care most of his life. His breed types are a guess only, but he is super cute which is all that counts! He ADORES other canine kids and is also good with cats! It's people who are the problem. Leo has extreme stranger danger. He is submissive in nature, but with new people, he runs away or backs away with a tucked tail. He does warm up but don't expect him to jump in your arms on day one. Give him time and let him approach first. Patience is a virtue in his book. Know this, it's a magical feeling when the trust lightbulb goes off in dogs like Leo! Since he comes out of his shell with other dogs, another dog in the home is a must. He enjoys playing with toys and balls and will do so with people once he warms up to them. Whatdya say?! Please adopt this little guy and help him gain confidence. He needs an experienced dog owner who can provide a daily routine, and space and time to get to know his new surroundings.
