About Millie

Looking for a sweet, soft, medium-sized love-bug of a dog? Millie is a young, laid back, perfect lady. She likes going around and sniffing but loves being by your side even more. (Or in your lap of course). At 45 lbs. She appears to be a little bit of Beagle and a whole lot of (redtick) coonhound. Like so many, she was found wandering a rural road hungry, with apparently no one looking for her. She was very happy to be found. She likes other dogs and gets on great with the four in our house. She's never gone potty in the house, is fine and even likes sleeping in a crate, rides well in the car, and is the easiest hound I've yet to encounter. I was told by her initial finder that she did fine around farm animals. She does not appear to do so well with cats. The shelter and rescues were not able to help when she was found due to them all being full. I couldn't say no to her. I have gotten her up to date on all vaccines and microchipped. She MUST be spayed! She has an appointment on June 4th with a low-cost spay/neuter program and a lovely couple has already covered the cost of that if you're local enough to Asheville or Rutherford County and want to use their service. I have rescued and fostered a lot of dogs and she really is special, with such a sweet demeanor, crooked tail and all.
