Penny Leigh was an owner surrender. Previous owner said she wasn't a dog person and she was expecting a baby soon. Penny Leigh has been a dream foster! She is house trained, very friendly, gets along great with other dogs and everyone human she meets! She sleeps through the night. She prefers to be snuggled up close to you in bed. She is crate trained but will bark in the crate when she's left alone. Penny Leigh can be left loose in the house without supervision. She doesn't have accidents and isn't destructive. Her previous owner said she was a barker, though honestly, she hasn't been while she's been with me. But it's something to keep in mind since she is a terrier. Penny Leigh LOVES toys!! She will chase a tennis ball, with you throwing it or by herself. She plays with all kinds of stuffed toys, although she will tear them apart to get to that squeaker! Penny Leigh also loves having bones to chew on. Penny Leigh is a smart, active lady. She LOVES going for walks and being outside. Her perfect day would be playing with toys after breakfast, going for a walk in the afternoon, and snuggling with you on the couch in the evening to watch TV until bedtime. She's eager to please and simply wants to be loved. She will cower or act fearful if you reach for too quickly, but as soon as she understands she's not going to get hurt she jumps into your arms! She's at the door to greet me every day after work, jumping for joy and enthusiasm. She is the sweetest little lady. She should be leash walked or have a fenced in yard because she will chase birds, squirrels, or rabbits, as any terrier will do. Penny Leigh will make a wonderful addition for anyone that enjoys a smart, active, loving little pup! PENNY LEIGH is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
