About NELSON (WOODY)

Welcome back Woody (formerly known as Nelson) ��ե Born 5/19/23, Chihuahua/Heeler mix, 20lbs Woody was adopted as a young puppy and recently returned due to training issues. His wonderful foster mom has worked with him over the past few weeks, and we've learned he is a wonderful little dog. Woody will turn 1 in May and is looking for his forever home. Woody has an abundance of energy! He needs ALOT of exercise. He is learning manners and is doing well. He needs to be reminded not to jump on people for attention, especially in the morning when he is soooo excited to see you after sleeping in his crate. He is house trained, but still very much puppy and will chew on things other than his toys if left on his own. For now, he is confined to a specific area when his foster mom is not home. He had some issues in the past with older dogs, but plays well with younger dogs. Woody would need to be fed separately because he doesn't always respect his foster siblings' space when they are eating. He really enjoys playing ball and with stuffed squeaky toys. His purpose in life is to extract the squeaky from the toy. Woody is very focused on his human and will want to be in the same room as you. Woody is a high energy and smart dog who needs a home where he will get plenty of exercise and consistent structure. He knows basic commands, walks great on leash, house trained, and crate trained.
