About Junie B

Adoption Fee: $85
American Shorthair / Domestic Cat
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

A little of Junie B's story. Junie B was in a home with a small child before being abandoned. After being abandoned a member of the community fed her, but never got her vet care. She had litter after litter in the years she was there. The house that Junie and the feral kittens were living at was foreclosed. A community member noticed she was pregnant and were able to trap her. They contacted Mercy and agreed to foster her with help from Mercy Rescue. She was named Juniper Beatrice from the Junie B. books. She mostly responds to mama though. Junie B is FIV positive. 'At first, I was really scared for her, but after more research and comforting words from the group we learned it isn't a death sentence and she isn't likely to spread it.' says her foster family. Junie is going to make someone so happy. She is kind, cuddly, adorable and a Lil feisty. You'll never have a rat problem with her around. Junie B. Is still looking for her forever home. She's going to do best as an only pet. She does not like other animals. She immediately hisses if she sees cats or dogs. However, she does very well with children, men, and women. Junie B. has come so far from the feral way she was living. She uses a litter box exclusively. She loves wet food and treats (especially temptations brand) and being petted. Junie B tolerates being held and even though she wants to, she doesn't fight to much when given her medication. Junie B. is learning how to play and likes the wand type toys and rolling in catnip. She deserves the best home. Please consider giving this mama a home where she can get all the rest and love she can handle. **Adoption fee of $85 includes 1st shots, vet visits, FIV/FeLV testing and deworming. Junie B has been FIV/FeLV tested and is positive.** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
