About Leo

Leo (AKA Leonardo Da'Vinci) goes by Leo or Leosaur. He is a fierce snuggler with a deep, intense purr. He especially loves to lay on laps, outstretched legs, and bellies. And is VERY helpful if you are trying to work on a laptop. He is a grown man of a certain age who does not have the time or energy for children, but does need loving parents. Our beautiful sweet Leo is turning 14 this year and is very healthy. He was our honeymoon baby and we shared our happy home with him for many years before having children. However, the past few years since we had our kids have been very hard on him. He really does not like the noise and activity that having young children in the house entails. He started peeing and pooping in the baby's carseat, crib, and bouncer and lashing out at his cat brother (whom he previously got along with just fine). He is neutered, updated with his shots and vet visits. We would rehome him with 1-month worth of his anxiety medication (which the vet believes he would likely wean off without kids around). He is established with a local vet in Champaign, though you could certainly switch vets if you have another preference in town. He loves adults and older, calm kids (teens+). He is an indoor only guy, though he does have all his claws.
