About Hank

Hank is young presa pup that we are helping another rescuer place after the home they had lined up for him fell through. This was due to no fault of Hank's but a family emergency. Hank is a wonderful boy and was originally rescued out of a shelter in Northern California where he was a shelter favorite and taken home each night by a volunteer. He's been around female dogs and done great and with proper introductions should be fine if placed with any female dogs. So far he's loved everyone he's met, however he's young, and a presa, which is a guardian breed so anyone considering him should understand being protective is in this breeds nature and be able to safely manage these behaviors. Hank is currently in San Diego and in needs of an experienced foster while his rescue searches for his forever home. However, if you are in San Diego and interested in adopting that is the ultimate goal.
