Courtesy Posting: Update: EMERGENCY! 3rd WARNING GIVEN! MUST HAVE EXIT PLAN BY 5/1 or WILL BE EUTHANIZED!! HELP SAVE HIM PLEASE!!! SHELTER IS FULL; PALMDALE/LA COUNTY (S CAL) X URGENT, SHELTER IS FULL; SWEET AND ADOPTABLE 'CHOWDER' WILL BE EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE - GOOD HOME, FOSTER AND OR RESCUE NEEDED ASAP FOR VERY SWEET AND FRIENDLY CHOW SHEP LOOKING X (ID #A5616845) KENNELED WITH AN UNRELATED DOG. Please help us find a loving home, or foster and/or rescue asap for this sweet gentleman the Palmdale shelter fondly named Chowder. He has received his 3rd Warning and must have an Exit plan by 5/1 or will be euthanized for space. Please save him! He was found as a stray but his owner never came sadly. The shelter estimates Chowder is 6 years young, weighs 70 lbs, is neutered, and kenneled with a female husky. Note: the shelter has him listed as a chow/ shiba inu mix; however, we believe he looks like a chow/ shep mix. He has nice behavior notes (we can send you details), and no reported medical issues, but will be at risk for euthanasia soon due to lack of space and high intake. Chowder was handled all over, leashed and walked with no issues, and also interacted fine with both female and male dogs. It's noted he would walk away when more active dogs wanted to play, so calmer dogs are recommended though. We were also given video of this gentle boy showing how adorable he really is and enjoys being pet. He has an adorable video on Instagram which was put together by 'Michelle R': https://www.instagram.com/reel/C51BM-iLOKI/?igsh=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== For direct adoption inquiries, please contact the shelter asap using his listing link: https://24petconnect.com/DetailsMain/LACO6/A5616845 Or by calling (661) 575-2888 and ask for ID A5616845 However, please ALSO contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with his placement, particularly if you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt - so we can try to pair you with a rescue to help. Most rescues do need a foster too. Rescue groups may email the shelter at: [email protected] Videos, additional pictures and updates will be posted on facebook at: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10165375293308125&id=783968124&mibextid=cr9u03 Note: To view contents of links, you will need to copy and paste each one separately into your browser.
